In 2020, during the pandemic, I was separated from my family. Since I grew up in Alsace, the region of France at the border of Germany, we always sang German songs for Christmas together.
So, for this Christmas where I could not stay with them, I decided to sing those songs, to feel closer to them.
Fun fact: I was invited in a family where the father knew the German Christmas songs, and he was very happy that I knew how to sing them. It was wonderful to have a piece of home on the other side of the ocean.

It was a cold evening, my hands were freezing, so I played until I couldn't anymore :)
