Navaratri Day 5 - Skandamata is the fifth form of Goddess Durga, known as the mother of the war god Lord Skanda (also called Kartikeya or Murugan). She represents maternal love, wisdom, and courage, and is depicted seated on a lotus, holding Skanda, and riding a lion. Devotees worship Skandamata on the fifth day of Navratri to gain wisdom, overcome obstacles, and attain family peace and harmony.
