11 October 2024 Quail Wreck

Amazing vis ~10m, best I've had on this wreck, 40m depth.
My favourite wreck! First thing we saw as we landed was a John Dory.
Tons of congers, including short tempered free swimming ones.
Big lobster and edible crab at the bow. The video runs from near the stern, to the stern, then to the bow and then back to midships where I set off the SMB to sit in deco.
The SS Quail sank in 1886 carrying a cargo of glassware and tinned products and now sits in about 43 - 48m of water LW - HW) on the far side of the Rampion Wind Farm in Sussex, UK.
The dive was organised by Dave Alvorado of Stormforce Diving and we went out with skipper Steve Johnson on Channel Diver (Brighton Marina).
