On a crisp, sunny day in central Indiana, we set our sights on the charming town of Pendleton to tackle the scenic Fall Creek Trace. Opting for a counterclockwise ride to harness the tailwind, we knew we were in for an unconventional adventure—one where the route signs would be hidden from view. But that was part of the thrill. We also decided to stray from the established path to avoid some of the busier roads, crafting our own unique journey. While there were still a few stretches where we had to share the road with cars, the quietude of this Sunday afternoon meant only a handful of vehicles passed by, leaving us to enjoy the ride in peace.
