Kinetico Water Softener Full Rebuild - Part 3 of 8 (Analyze Head Unit, Remove Level 4 Seals)

Fix no soft water, not using salt, no suction to brine tank- a complete walk through, part 3 of 8.

I'M NO PRO, but I like to learn. Don't take anything I say as "professional advice."

My old Kinetico Water Softener was not functioning- it stopped regenerating and was using no salt. I first cleaned the brine tank, that did not fix it. I then cleaned the inside of the head unit, and it still did not work. It was not drawing brine from the brine tank and had no suction on the brine hose when a cycle was forced.

What finally worked for me was replacing the Level 4 seals/gaskets for about $40 (don't get ripped off). My local Kinetico dealer refused to help in any way and would not even sell me parts (they require one of their service techs work on the machine). This information has been tough to find for a DIY'er like myself, so I made this little series to hopefully help others stuck in a similar situation. I will not be buying a Kinetico unit ever again unless they change their policy and let me buy basic parts from them... like a seal kit.
