FORTI Women Wing to Provide Platform for Rural Women to Become Self-Reliant, New Executive Committee Takes Oath - FORTI WOMEN WING 2024-25
The oath-taking ceremony of the new executive committee of the FORTI Women Wing was organized, with BJP Jaipur Lok Sabha candidate Manju Sharma administering the oath to the new office bearers and members. During this event, the state's women achievers were also honored.
To make rural women self-reliant, the FORTI Women Wing will collaborate with the government to provide a platform. After the oath-taking ceremony, newly appointed President Alka Gaur and General Secretary Lalita Kuchhal spoke exclusively to ETV Bharat. They mentioned that FORTI is a business organization, and its Women Wing has been working for many years to promote women in business. Now, they will work with the government to provide a platform for rural women.
Oath-Taking Ceremony of the New Team: Newly appointed President Alka Gaur announced her team. The new executive committee includes Usha Agarwal and Pooja Agarwal as Advisors, Lalita Kuchhal as General Secretary, Nandita Shekhawat and Pooja Rastogi as Vice Presidents, Sakshi Ahuja as Joint Secretary, Jyoti Panwar, Akanksha Jain, Purnima Goyal, Sonia Badaya, Rajkumari Goyal, Reena Agarwal, Mahi Yadav, Varsha Gupta, Juhi Kedia, and Sarika Kumut as Executive Members. BJP Jaipur Lok Sabha candidate Manju Sharma administered the oath to the new office bearers and members of the FORTI Women Wing. All the office bearers pledged to work together for the upliftment of women in Rajasthan under FORTI's constitution. Former Mayor of Jaipur, Jyoti Khandelwal, was also present on this occasion.
Women Achievers Honored: During the ceremony, women who have achieved special accomplishments in various fields were honored. These include the country's first MBA Sarpanch Chhavi Rajawat, Mamta Sapera, Shatabdi Awasthi, Mamta Awasthi, Deepali Sharma, Dr. Gunjan Jain, Neeru Yadav, Manju Sharma, Chhavi Sharma, and Pushpa Mai. On this occasion, FORTI Patron Surja Ram Meel, President Suresh Agarwal, and Youth Wing President Sunil Agarwal congratulated the new executive committee of the FORTI Women Wing. On this occasion, Alka Gaur stated that her priority is to develop women's empowerment and women entrepreneurship, to bring the central and state government's schemes to women entrepreneurs, and to address their issues and help them move forward. She mentioned that discrimination at the workplace against women is a matter of concern, and the government needs to work in this direction.
Providing a Platform for Rural Women: General Secretary Lalita Kuchhal said that the FORTI Women Wing will open branches in all 50 districts of Rajasthan and help bring forward women entrepreneurs according to the specialties of each district. The FORTI Women Wing has been working for many years to promote women's businesses. Efforts are being made to bring more women forward, but the need is now felt more in rural areas as well. Women in rural areas do not lack skills but do not get a platform. Therefore, the FORTI Women Wing will work with the government in the future to provide a platform for rural women to become self-reliant.
She mentioned that women are not behind in any field in the country. There is a need to give them an opportunity, which is their right. The FORTI Women Wing will work towards this. Vice President Nandita Shekhawat said that the government has introduced many schemes for women, but there is a lack of awareness about these schemes among women in remote rural areas. We will try to bring these women forward and raise awareness about these schemes. She mentioned that they have a strong desire to work on skill development and will work with the government on this. They will try to extend this platform not only in Rajasthan but also on an India level.
