Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that his military has destroyed 20 of the 24 battalions of Hamas. Netanyahu added that the remaining four are in Rafah, and that is why Israeli forces have to enter the area because they cannot leave them there. Netanyahu admitted that Israel will face very strong resistance during the operation in Rafah, but expressed confidence that the Israeli military will overcome it. Amid mounting deaths in Gaza, Netanyahu has been under pressure from the West, especially from Israel's biggest ally - the U.S, to call a ground invasion in Rafah where more than 1.4 million Palestinians are taking shelter. But the Israeli Prime Minister has refused to back down from his mission to 'wipe out Hamas from the face of the earth'.
