The foundation stone was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 5, 2020.

The temple architecture follows the Nagara style of North Indian temple design.

The temple will be built with sandstone and no steel or concrete will be used.

The temple is set to open for devotees in January 2024, with the first phase of construction completed.
