This is so exciting, and it will be enriched and enhanced with some real commitment from all and sundry.

As Africans in the diaspora, the only way to sustain our culture and popular cultural activities in transnational terms is by safeguarding our ‘’cultural heritage” and expressing the heritage.

As immigrants, we create transnational tales and stories in which we must negotiate African cultural traditions from our birth countries while integrating into this community in new Canada. Straddling two countries, cultures and languages, we strive to prove our self-worth and humanity in the face of systemic prejudices. Our stories and tradition carried - over demonstrate that a new template for successful identity construction is possible in the host country when we safeguard, African cultural heritage, values of community and respect, and transpose these values and virtues into new contexts. In a difficult world torn asunder by wars, apathy, prejudices, and oppression…love, harmony, kindness and irresistible friendship can be shared among people of disparate cultures. And this is what the Yoruba culture all over the world can do.
