3/7 heats to score points to go into the British Championship Final Lee consistently scored points in the heats resulting in a 5th row inside position on a closed grid format
The 217 car survived the first corner, first lap scenario and made his way up to 4th on a yellow flag restart behind #197, #300 and #318, for some reason the #300 car didn't start when the green flag dropped and held up Rob, Lee and the train that followed.
The 217 machine made it up to 2nd on another restart and with #197 having a more powerful machine, Lee couldn't let him make a breakaway so on the 4th bend went to push him wide, on the front stretch Lee got in front but #197 lunged for him and in the process took Lee and himself to the fence, resulting in Lee with a flat outside front and retiring from the race.
It's racing, he had to have a go but it didn't pan out as expected but we will be back for more next week
Huge congratulations to Frankie Wainman on winning the black/white checkered roof, Lee passes it over to a driver who deserves to wear it and will do it justice on the track.....
