Along with the first DLC Map Pack for "Call of Duty: Advanced Wafare", Sledgehammer released its own version of ZOMBIES where:

• "Players enter a world where a DNA bioweapon unexpectedly spawns a bloodthirsty, ravenous mutant horde infecting an entire secret Atlas research facility and sending personnel running for their lives."

• "Following a failed evacuation, four survivors, un-trained and underprepared, must face the most vicious mutations ever unleashed."

• "The four characters, voiced by an A-list celebrity cast will have their own unique loadouts, while new weaponry, such as the triple shotgun named the Cell Three Quarteriser."

The introduction cut-scene / trailer for the "Exo Zombies Story" reveals a general outline of the storyline:

However, there is a lot more to the story! It turns out that the "Atlas Corporation" may not be very friendly. In fact, they may even be playing with our characters (Oz the maintenance worker/janitor, Lilith the I.T. specialist, Decker the security guard, and Kahn the executive) and using them as TEST SUBJECTS. Audio recordings from the game mode suggest that "Atlas" is testing some of its employees and experimenting with the "Exo Zombies". They hint that the NEXT EXO ZOMBIES MAP could very-well be based on the story of more test subjects. This is a HUGE part of the Exo Zombies Storyline. Not to mention, it seems that Atlas completely sabotaged the "Exo Zombies Easter Egg" right at the end!
