New Limited Edition Squier Paranormal Offset Telecaster SJ Out of Box Review

This video reviews a new Limited Edition Squier Paranormal Offset Telecaster SJ out of the box freshly received from Sweetwater.

The Squier Paranormal range explores various ideas across the Fender spectrum and experiments with them. This combines the Jazzmaster body style with a telecaster neck/head, and one pickup from each source. The bridge is a traditional "ashtray" single coil pickup from the Telecaster while the neck is a "soapbar" Jazzmaster style single coil. This offers a unique tonal experience which is only furthered by the possibilities offered in the push/pull controls for the second combined selector position - series/parallel, and phase.

While this would not be an ideal first guitar for a beginner, it offers a lot of features and craftsmanship in it's sub-$500 package. The tones are wide and powerful, and the extra options give a wider range than meets the eye in the seemingly simple electronics.
