"I don't like the term. I don't like the term. I think that the European Union is a project, a political project of soft power. And also we have a duty nowadays with a hard power. But I think it's very, very important to stress our assets when it comes to talk about the soft power. I think this is the issue."

This is my objection, my principal objection that I have to this term of rearm and, and of course we're very committed not only to increase our defence experimenter but also to have this angle of security.

Because as I always share with my colleagues from around the Table in the European Council, it is important to take into account that the challenges that we face in the southern neighbourhood are a bit different to the ones that eastern flag face. And this this means that we need to strengthen our border controls. This means that we need to strengthen our capabilities to fight against terrorism. This means that we need to strengthen also our capability when it comes to cyber attacks and these hybrid attacks. And these are the things that of course we have to take into account when we speak about this new financial instrument and also when we speak about, you know, this fiscal rules capabilities that we will have for the coming years.
