TIMESTAMP NOTES

45:13 — 245(i) allows undocumented immigrants to finish their green card process in the U.S. if they or their parents have started a green card process and had a petition filed by April 30, 2001. This may still be true even if the green card petition is still pending today, or was abandoned (perhaps because the sponsoring U.S. individual passed away).

48:00 — 245(a) is a family-based method that is separate from the PERM process. We recommend getting screened by a trusted legal service provider to explore 245(a) as a potential immigration option for you.
