Persona 3 Reload: Takaya Sakaki (Merciless / Orpheus Only)

Takaya can be weird in terms of difficulty, he can be pretty easy or he can be very hard depending on how prepared you are.

I intentionally try not to use Fuuka in these clips, because she can easily turn the tide of a boss fight most of the time with her theurgy. Takaya apparently has a script where he gets harder if you don't pick the bottom choice in the Dialogue Options during the fight, as seen by his Soul Drain + Mamudoon combo. Soul Drain, allows him to drain ALL of your SP no matter what. Like Jin he also has access to most Tier 3 Magic, and he has no weakness, Repels Light and Drains Dark, and got an HP Buff from FES / Portable. In the early parts of the fight, his most dangerous attack is Megidolaon because it can crazy damage when unbuffed.

Takaya's A.I can determine how hard this fight can be, if he finds a weakness, he'll more often than not try to exploit it, also he apparently has a chance to use Ghastly Wail after Evil Smile but I never seen that. Takaya's relatively simple until the end of the fight, where his A.I gets way more spammy. A new addition to this fight is his new Theurgy, which has no Name so I'll call it Hypnos Salvation, where he deals Severe Almighty Damage, that can inflict fear and drain the Party's SP, which unbuffed is enough to oneshot Party Members unguarded.

Then I guess me not being able to get Resist Elec, comes back to bite me because he then resorts to spamming Maziodyne and following it up with Mamudoon, and since I wanted to bring Ken to this fight, he'll spam Maeigaon as well. By the end I decided to make this a 1v1 and solo him by the end, and I finished him off in style with a Thuergy.

But to make sure the rest of the party was leveled up, I redid this fight after saving this clip. Fun Boss, in FES he was once again pretty easy, and in Portable his only form of Difficulty was spaming Mind Charged Almighty Moves.
