The story starts before we meet the Giants. It is a poetic narrative written by Jean-Luc Courcoult, Artistic Director of French street-theatre company Royal de Luxe, and explains what ‘happened’ before our event, and why we find the Giants in Perth.

Royal de Luxe are world leaders in large-scale street theatre and storytelling.

They are a company of talented actors, engineers, inventors, technicians, metal workers and poets led by Artistic Director Jean-Luc Courcoult.

Founded in 1979 and now based in Nantes, they are recognised internationally for the magical, poetic and epic nature of their events.
