【Updates from Pianominion】
Natori is one of my favourite Japanese singers because of his unique way in making vibrant and memorable songs, and that, ‘Overdose’ caught my interest because of its catchy groove and melody. This cover is a very challenging song to master because of its fast tempo and coordination, especially sections which requires my right hand to play octaves at rapid speed while maintaining the groove of the song with my left hand. This section can also be difficult due to the touch control. Playing octaves at fast speed tend to make players instinctively go louder, which sounds out of place and bizarre. One tip to get the coordination and touch control right is to play it slow and steady, it may take weeks to master but it is satisfying to play once you pull it off with ease.
