There’s three lakes stocked with plenty of trout and catfish. Yucaipa Regional Park in Yucaipa, California, is one of Southern California’s best kept fishing/camping secrets. Plenty of room for all types of recreation.

Bring your fishing gear and fish for catfish in the summer and trout in the winter. Bass, bluegill, and crappie are natural inhabitants of the lake. Purchase all types of bait and tackle in the general store. You will need a state license to fish.

pumpkin jig (atomic tube)

Catfish rig:
Three-Way Swivel
size 2/0 snelled hook
15lb test
2oz pyramid sinker
Mackerel
Connect your main line to the first ring. Connect the snelled hook to the second ring. And tie a two foot leader to the third ring, and attach a 2 ounce pyramid sinker to the end of the leader. Good times.
