About First Coast No More Homeless Pets
The mission of First Coast No More Homeless Pets (FCNMHP) is to end the killing of cats and dogs in shelters in our community, Northeast Florida, and the nation. Programs offering free or low-cost spay/neuter surgeries are available and to date over 180,000 surgeries have been performed. The euthanasia rate in Jacksonville has been reduced by 90% since FCNMHP was founded in 2002. FCNMHP hosts Mega Adoption Events each year, inviting shelters/rescues to bring their homeless pets. To date these events have found homes for 8,077 pets. FCNMHP provide funds for medically injured dogs/cats that have no one to pay, operate a program called Feral Freedom, TAILS (Teaching Animals & Inmates Life Skills), and run the Jacksonville Pet Food Bank for low-income residents, which to date has distributed more than a million pounds of food since 2010.
