If you are not a fan of the built in Windows Photos app then you might want to try the free Visum Photo Viewer app. It is an easy way to browse through your photos and also has some built in editing features such as resize, crop, change colors\brightness and rotate. It even has a properties section where you can view metadata about your photos such as location, dimensions, GPS location, resolution, size, bit depth and device used to take the photos. You can also share your photos right from the app.
