I want to provide some life experience information that I learned while recovering from a prolonged bout of depression.

Remember to be honest with your needs, discomforts and capability to handle stress. Be clear with yourself, family and inner circle of friends. Become the center and foundation of your support system. YOU need to know what support you need while you’re requesting support from others. Then be positively selfish with your recovery.

BIO: I, Nick Hines, actively battles with depression, OCD and anxiety. I've developed this ongoing dialogue series to provide to provide a reference point for someone who is currently in a different stage of the process. I'd also like to lend a hand in removing the stigma of mental illness, especially since I myself, had little empathy for others before this current understanding.
