I used to live a life in which I coveted many things. My weakness was what I perceived to be ‘scholarly success’ - I wanted to be a renowned historian and literary researcher. I also dreamed of traveling as a lifestyle, never settling in one place. But as I grew I realized that in order to show my love for the Earth in a meaningful way, I needed to be sure my goals aligned with my spirit. Through my process of ‘coming home to myself’ I realized that it wasn’t actually what I wanted. I didn’t need a title or a list of amazing world experiences in order to make me who I am. I could simply live my truth everyday, and accept the freedom and happiness that comes from saying “I have enough, I no longer need more”. By putting aside all the success that I perceived as a priority to attain, I realized it wasn’t what was going to make me happy. I hope this inspires you to live your truth, whatever it may be.
