A Failing or bad fuel filter can cause a lot of odd issues with your ride, from a miss at idle, low idle, bad throttle response, stalling engine and even a no start, they are also a few more symptoms of a failing fuel filter.

The best way to know for sure is to replace your filter with a new one, if you buy a used car or never have replaced your fuel filter before I would give it a try, its one of the most over looked caused of a bad idle and a car that just feels lazy.

Always bleed your fuel pressure off before changing your filter, and it will help if you wear gloves and use eye protection.
