In a world where most of the knowledge is shared in the English language, and with little or no impactful information available to non-English speakers, how do we attain a knowledge society and sustainable development? This session is for translators and their professional responsibilities in making available vital information for national development in indigenous languages.

Ọmọ́táyọ̀ Ọlálérè is a Senior Lecturer at the Ọbáfẹ́mi Awólọ́wọ́ University, Ilé-Ifẹ̀, Nigeria and also a Research Associate of the University of the Free State, Bloemfontein, South Africa. She holds a PhD in German Language and Linguistics.

Mutiu O. Tijani is multilingual translator and thought leader. He is a Strategic Adviser at Fsnlink Communications Translation Agency.
