Reading and PRR Railroad History with

In this video, I was invited to check out to see what remains of the Reading, Railroad, PRR and Schuykill Navigation system and remains of the Wilmington and Northern railroad in the city of Reading. While checking out some of the key points of these locations, we also made a stop at the Former Reading Railroad Shops to have a look at where the now famous Reading T-1's where refurbished. I also added a clip of the Chessie Steam Special being refurbed in the shops from the promotional film made for the excursions for 1978 to show what the inside of the shop looked like back in the Conrail days as this was the only location they had that could provide the overhead gantry to lift the massive locomotive to do the work needed.
