Jain beds is carved in Bagavathy Hills

The Bagavathy Hill is about 1200 feet with 8 natural cave
These natural caves are prehistoric habitation site and latter may be in 2 nd century occupied by the Jains
Neolithic period ( 10000 BC )  tools are found in natural cave at this hill From 2nd Century these caves are occupied by the Jains

10th century Rashtrakuda King Kannaradevan’s tamil inscription and Kannada inscriptions are found in bagavathy malai

3 Jain beds are chiseled with tamil Brahmi inscriptions.
These inscriptions are heavily damaged and un readable due to vandalism by anonymous
information of inscriptions are the name of the persons responsible for creating the beds for Jain monks
two foot prints or pathams carved on a rock near
It was told these pathams are related to Jainism.
The pathams are being worshiped by the locals as a Sri Kalki Bagavathy Amman.

Kalki Bagavathy Amman and Bagavathy temple are on the top of the hill 
The Hill has natural cave and rock shelters once it's occupied by the pre historic  human beings and latter occupied by the Jains

In front of Amman there is a Rishabam. The rishabam beautiful. the Rishabam is carved extremely super

in the rock shelters the inscriptions in Tamil and Kannada inscriptions are find it is carved by Rashtrakuda king Kannaradevan’s ( Krishna-III)  its belong to 10th Century
Tamil inscription is carved on the back a rock  inside a shelter  The inscription is 11 line
the inscription is mentioned at Pannapeswarar Temple was built by a small Chieftain Pannapai under the Rashtrakuda King Kannaradevan’s ( Krishna-III)  26th year rule.

This temple is on the “Soothadu paarai” at Bangala Nadu in Paduvur Kottam.
The Village Velurpadi was gifted to this Temple.
It is Present Vellore is that  one mentioned in the inscription.

Since this inscription is inscribed on the rock, it survived, but temple is not available now
Old structures of the temple like pillar and stone fragments are found around the top of the hill.  
Near to the inscription there is a temple called Sri Kalki Bagavathy Temple.
