One of my favorite quilt blocks is the Sawtooth Star. I recently learned a new-to-me method of sewing the triangle parts of the star which made the whole process so much easier and really elevated the end product. I'll walk you through how to sew a flying geese using the four-at-a-time method to assemble a classic Sawtooth Star block. Although it looks complicated, I believe it is a beginner-friendly technique!

I loved the whole process of shopping for fabric, choosing the design, and thinking of what would be best for my friend as this quilt is for her. I hope you try out this method, it is a fun way to make a quilt!

FLYING GEESE MEASUREMENTS (Four at a time:)

(1) 7 3/4 Large Square
(4) 4 1/8 Smaller Squares

(1) 6 1/2 Large Square
(4) 3 1/2 Smaller Squares
