What makes the perfect CFD Broker from a client's perspective?

What makes the perfect spread betting or CFD broker from a client's perspective? I think there is a variety of time - clearly there are the spreads/costs of trading and yes these are important factors. But it is not everything; you also have to look at execution. If you need to call your broker then you need to test them out. There is surely not one broker fits all. From my experience in dealing with overseas markets, the German client reviews a dozen different brokerages and it might take such a client 6 months to decide with which broker he goes with. Once he's with that broker he tends to say with them for the next 5, 6, 7 years. The UK trader is completely different - if he reviews 3 brokers; he's been relatively diligent...

Which markets tend to be more popular with traders and why? Equities are always the popular markets for first-time traders and I think that's obvious in that respect. People understand equities far more; however when people get more experienced they realise that volatility is what they are really looking for so more people tend to migrate to forex trading. People also tend to trade their home markets.
