White's is the oldest of all the PNW brands out there. They may very well be the oldest bootmaking
business still in operation today.. This brand is known for their 'Arch-Ease' lasts, that feature a 'shank' that is composed completely of leather ( instead of steel, fiber glass, or wood) .. giving a high arch to keep your foot comfortable for longer..

They are also known for doing welt stitching that's done by hand.. They do the Norwegian rolled welt.. Also known as the handsewn stitchdown.. This rolled welt is a separate piece of leather that is then rolled up and stitched to the welt, acting like that of a storm welt..

All their most iconic boots feature the hand-sewn option.. It accounts for nearly $100 labor and additional upcharge from their standard stitch-down and an even bigger price gap from their GYW (Goodyear welted) products..
