"Wales GO DOWN" American Fan Experiences Welsh Atmosphere

Only 24 hours after my first serious European match, we head to Wales for a showdown between two of the greatest players in a generation, Gareth Bale and Robert Lewandowski. Poland visits Wales for a Nations League A showdown that Wales has to win to survive in the top flight of this new competition. Poland also traveled well and the fan atmosphere was aggressive and tense.

Scotland eased me into the atmosphere while Wales was a more foreign place to visit. I had been before, but going to a national team match is a whole other level of intensity in Welsh identity. The contrast between Poland and Wales, two proud but different people, made this a match-day experience I won’t soon forget. I hope you enjoy the experience!
