Brave archer Arjun was also defeated many times.

Although Arjuna is considered the best archer in Mahabharata, but the reality is that he was not the best in war. The truth is that Arjuna was defeated by many warriors in the Mahabharata war, but with the help of Lord Krishna, he prevailed in the end. Let us tell you that Pandu's son Arjun had to face defeat many times in the war of Mahabharata. Let us know when and when the brave archer Arjun had to face defeat.

1. Once in the war of Mahabharata, Arjuna was so helpless that seeing the injured Arjuna, Shri Krishna broke his vow of not taking up arms and picked up the Sudarshan Chakra to kill Bhishma. Similarly, Guru Dronacharya also defeated Arjuna many times in the Mahabharata war. Arjuna considered Drona undefeated at the time of Jayadratha's slaughter and to leave the way from him, took the help of one of his disciples named Prem and left the chariot from behind.

2. Karna defeated Arjuna in the Mahabharata war and forced him to leave the battle. Karna defeated Arjuna four times on the 17th day of the war. Once he made Arjun half-dead. But even here Krishna had helped Arjuna, due to which when the wheel of Karna's chariot got stuck in the ground, Karna was killed by Arjuna at the behest of Shri Krishna while pulling it out.
3. In the Mahabharata war, once in the Mahabharata war, by using the Narayan weapon, Ashwatthama had created hue and cry in the entire army of Pandavas including Arjuna. Seeing the effect of this weapon, the army started running away leaving the battle. Arjuna was also challenged by Ashwatthama in the Virat war but he had to retreat when his arrows ran out.
4. In the Mahabharata, Sudhanva had knowledge of the six arts of archery. He was even ahead of Karna and Arjuna in the use of fire weapon. When Arjuna's army started getting destroyed in the war, seeing this, Arjuna put the fruits of all his virtues on his fire weapon and left it, but still Arjuna's fire weapon was failing. Seeing this, Krishna neutralized Sudhanva's firearm with the fruit of his virtuous deeds. Seeing the opportunity, Arjuna killed Sudhanva.
5. Bhagdatta was the king of Pragjyotishpur. His two sons also participated in the Mahabharata war. Karna defeated him in Digvijay but Arjun could not defeat Bhagdatta. When there was no result even after fighting with him for seven days, then Indra had to come and reconcile. Seeing Arjuna killing his sons, Bhagadatta came to fight on an elephant. They overpowered Arjuna. Then Arjun became helpless. In this situation he was saved by Krishna. Shri Krishna makes the Vaishnava weapon left by Bhagdatta ineffective. Then Arjun breaks Bhagadatta's blindfold and kills him.
6. Atichyuta attained the divine mace by performing penance. The person on whom this mace was used was certain to be killed. Bhishma gets injured on the fourth day of the Mahabharata war. Then Atichyuta came to fight with Arjuna. He first used arrow then divyastra and after that he used mace to kill Arjuna. Shri Krishna took the blow of the mace on himself and saved Arjuna. After this, Arjuna killed Atichyuta using Divyastra.
7. On the thirteenth day of the war, Trigarta king Susharma had taken Arjuna prisoner with the help of two thousand armies. This time also Krishna saved Arjuna with his power. At the time of Digvijaya, Arjun had insulted the women of Susharma's clan, due to which he fought on the side of Duryodhana in the Mahabharata.
8. The wife of Sahdev, the younger brother of the Pandavas, was abducted by a giant demon Nikumbh. Then Arjuna, Krishna and Praduman decided to kill it. But it only made Arjun half-dead. He was going to snatch Gandiv and kill him by hanging him upside down that Shri Krishna saved Arjuna by killing that demon by playing Sudarshan Chakra.
9. An incident after the Mahabharata war is that once robbers abducted Krishna's wives and made Arjuna a prisoner. Then only Krishna's wives had freed Arjuna. After this, the unhappy Arjun had abandoned the kingdom of Hastinapura with the remaining women and children.
