On the morning of Wednesday, May 17, we were visited by Telemundo 51. Reporter Alexis Boentes spent a good part of the morning interacting with the board of the Museum of Contemporary Art of the Americas and showed interest not only in the ongoing 'Old Friends' exhibition but also in the evolution of the institution. In this way, we shared with the community part of the museum's history, until a year ago the Kendall Art Center, and the purposes of the change, fundamentally aimed at preserving a significant collection of predominantly Cuban art and promoting from now on not only the work of Cuban artists but also that of the rest of the Americas. Some of the museum's collections are regularly exhibited and are available to the Kendall community virtually every day of the year. The Museum is the first space dedicated to contemporary art in the area and allows the local audience to enjoy a vigorous artistic program without needing to travel to the traditional circuits located in Coral Gables, Wynwood, Brickell, Design District, and Miami Beach.
