Here is a guitar tutorial on how to play Neal Schon's fabulous solo on "Lights" by Journey. I play it at tempo and then again slow. The majority of the solo is in D pentatonic major with a brief reference to D pentatonic minor towards the end. Guitar tablature is included.

This tasty solo is a great example of rock guitar playing in a pop music context. Neal Schon used a Fender Strat on "Lights"and I am using an ESP LTD SN-200FR in this video. This guitar lesson can be absorbed easily by intermediate and advanced guitar players.
