It’s Part 2 of my mini series all about how to get different guitar tones for different styles of music!

I walk through the process of getting the right BLUES tones and use them in a small recording session.

I get this question a lot: How do you find different tones for different styles of music. And, I’ve spent some time on the show dealing with this issue. I’ve done the path to great guitar tone series: one episode each for guitar, amps and pedals. I have also had a show about the gig friendly one amp setup and a show all about the gear you need for playing the blues..

Today I’m going into more depth with this.

The plan is: I pick two different styles of music, and make some decisions as to what tones to choose for the two different situations. Then I create a small 1 minute or so track that features these tones. So you get to be in on the decisions and follow along with me as I create these pieces. So you get the experience of this process.
