Jean Paul Van Bendegem is a Flemish mathematician, philosopher and professor of logic and philosophy of science at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. In this lecture, Jean Paul will convince you that despite their strange aspects, mathematics are everywhere in our life, bringing meaning, structure and beauty.
