This is simply one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written, and sung with such emotion, with a gorgeous guitar intro which he somehow maintains throughout the song. There are so many covers of this song available on YouTube, but I dare you to find a better one.
Some of the most beautiful and saddest music in the 90s came from Elliot Smith, the man who really really wanted to die. Check out the full video I did with guest guitarist Assa Bukelman featuring three acoustic covers of three of my favorite Elliot Smith songs, including Angeles and Between the Bars from his Either/Or album, and Waltz #2 from X/O.

I also talk about Elliot's childhood, his solo albums, his music on the soundtrack of the Good Will Hunting movie, and his sad but inevitable death.
