The most BEAUTIFUL place in Algeria (24 hours in Taghit in the Sahara Desert)

In this video, I venture more than a thousand kilometers away from Algiers, Algeria, to discover the oasis village of Taghit.

The landscape here is unlike any other: endless dunes of fine, golden sand stretch out, forming a stunning contrast against a sky so blue, it almost doesn't seem real.

While I'm here, I delve into Taghit's deep history.

I show you ancient rock paintings that go back as far as 6000 BC, as well as the town's unique 700-year-old Saharan mud architecture.

These features make it abundantly clear that despite the challenging desert environment, this place has been a cradle of human civilization for millennia.

As the sun begins its descent, I take you on a challenging climb up some of the world's largest sand dunes.

My feet sink into the sand with each step, but the effort is entirely worth it.

The reward at the top? A sky ablaze with hues of pink, yellow, and orange as the sun bids farewell to the day.

As night falls and the temperature drops, we retreat to a traditional Bedouin tent. Inside, we find respite with a comforting bowl of lentil soup and sweet tea.

For those of you who are wondering how to embark on this incredible journey, it usually involves a two-hour propeller plane ride to Béchar, followed by a 1.5-hour drive.

Trust me, every moment spent getting here is worth it.
