Definitely much easier with just one connection to the battery. One drawback has come to light, is due to the current pulsing of some heated grips, there is a possibility of it not turning off until the grips are turned off. I'm guessing it is fooled into assuming the engine is running due to voltage/current fluctuations caused by supplying the grips.
