How Four Stroke Diesel Engines Work!

Описание к видео How Four Stroke Diesel Engines Work!

Four-stroke diesel engines use four strokes of a piston to complete one combustion cycle. The four strokes are:

Intake stroke: The piston moves down, drawing air into the cylinder via the air intake valves.

Compression stroke: The piston moves up, compressing the air within the cylinder.

Power stroke: Fuel is injected and the air-fuel mixture ignites due to the increased pressure and temperature within the cylinder; this causes a controlled explosion. The expanding gases force the piston downwards.

Exhaust stroke: The piston moves up, forcing the exhaust gases out of the cylinder via the exhaust gas valves.

The four strokes repeat themselves over and over again, generating power, and then transferring it to the load.
