Detailed tutorial demonstrating use of STOCKHISTORY function of Excel, to pull historic EOD prices of stock / shares for single or multiple dates. Syntax of the function is explained covering multiple scenario. It also covers scenario of fetching price of multiple stock of specific date.

Compatibility: STOCKHISTORY function currently works only in Microsoft / Office 365 edition or subscription of Excel (app-based). It future it should work even for browser-based version of Excel (which is available free of cost).

Limitation: As per Microsoft documentation, it cannot fetch real-time price, but only day end prices. Kindly refrain from using it for real-time analysis. It supports prices for frequency of daily (hour or minute level prices not supported).
