Christmas Celebration
Text: Luke 2:1–2
Christmas begins with a decree, a census, and an ordinary journey.
God steps into human history without noise.
No palace.
No throne.
Just purpose.
Luke opens the story by anchoring it in real time, real rulers, and real places.
This reminds you that Christmas is not myth.
It is history with meaning.

1. God’s greatest gift is Christ
Luke 2:1–2
Caesar Augustus issues a decree.
The empire flexes its power.
People move at the command of Rome.
Yet behind imperial authority, God works His plan.
The census forces Joseph and Mary to Bethlehem.
This fulfills prophecy written centuries earlier.
A global power unknowingly serves a divine purpose.

Christmas proves that delay is not denial.
God’s timing remains exact.
