Sexual Health Innovations | Uganda

United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) is supporting innovative solutions to challenges in improving a range of development issues from sexual and reproductive health to sexuality education, family planning and maternal health.

Part of this work is carried out through an innovation accelerator program (iAccelerator) that supports young entrepreneurs in upscaling ideas and products to address sexual and reproductive health issues. This film showcases some of UNFPA’s iAccelerator initiatives in Uganda including:

Eco Smart Pad - a company which is developing low-cost sanitary pads made from sugarcane.

mScan - company that is developing a portable ultrasound scanner made of a smartphone and a probe for pregnant women.
