Rainforests are found in every continent except Antarctica, but to understand where they are found we, first of all, need to understand what a rainforest is.

The are often defined as forests with:
Closed Canopy
Plants that need lots of water
Layer of moist leaf litter
NO Wildfires
_ Presence of Epithytes and Liannas

There are two types of Rainforests: Temperate and Tropical.

Tropical Rainforests are found near the equator, where there is more light, heat and rain (Exactly what plants need). Temperate rainforests can be found further north or south in milder climates.

Some Big Rainforest areas include:
Amazon Rainforest
Congo Rainforest
The Rainforests of Indo-Burma
The Rainforests of Sundaland
The Daintree Rainforest
