Описание к видео Motorized LEGO® Technic 42172 McLaren P1™ with BuWizz - Test drive (2/2)

Welcome back to our channel! In today’s video, we are thrilled to showcase the final details of our motorized LEGO® Technic 42172 McLaren P1™ project.

Detailed Overview of the Build:

Spoiler Mechanism:
Discover how the motorized spoiler operates with a smooth and rapid action, enhancing both functionality and aesthetics.

Motorization:
Underneath the removable rear clamshell, the car features four motors per wheel, configured with 24 and 42 gears to drive each wheel independently. This setup provides an electronic differential, allowing variable power distribution between the wheels during turns.

Direct Drive System:
A unique bar allows gears to slip as needed, directly driving a fake engine for a realistic effect when the vehicle is in motion.

Clutch Mechanism:
The spoiler's motion is controlled through a brick-built clutch connected to a worm gear, which ensures the motor isn't overloaded and provides fast, efficient movement.

Compact Integration:
Despite extensive internal modifications, the model's external appearance remains largely unchanged. Essential components are meticulously fitted near the seats, maintaining the car’s sleek design.

Power Management:
The model is powered by multiple BuWizz 3.0 bricks strategically placed within the chassis for optimal balance and performance. Steering functionality is preserved with a Powered Up L motor that turns the steering wheel synchronously with the wheels.

Testing and Challenges:

Speedrun Attempt:
Join me as we put the car through a speedrun to test its limits. Despite reinforced 3D printed discs designed to secure the tires better than original components, we face challenges with tire retention due to the car's heavy weight and high grip.

Suspension and Durability Issues:
The video also explores issues encountered with the rear suspension, which proved too weak for the model's weight and power, leading to structural challenges during high-speed maneuvers.

Design Revisions Needed:
Learn about the unexpected shortcomings of the new hubs and my plans to redesign the model with robust turntables and custom wheels, similar to previous successful builds.

Conclusion and Next Steps:

Reflections on the Build:
Despite some setbacks, this test run provided valuable insights into the limitations and potential improvements for the model. I'll be heading back to the drawing board to enhance durability and performance.
