A disturbing trend of extremism is sweeping Canada, with a recent attack on a Hindu temple in Brampton. The Hindu Canadian Foundation reported that women and children were also targeted by the violent mob.

India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi has strongly condemned the violence. India’s External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar said that extremists have been given political space in Canada.

The incident has further strained relations between India and Canada, already tense since Justin Trudeau alleged Indian involvement in the killing of terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar.
