STORYLINE:
Residents in Moscow on Monday expressed their support for Russian President Vladimir Putin, and his actions on the international stage, ahead of his annual news conference set for Thursday.
One resident asked to comment on Putin offered some criticism, saying she hoped he would take action to tackle rising prices in Russia.
According to recent polls, almost 90% of Russians trust and support Putin.
