পদ্মা সেতু হয়ে ঢাকা-খুলনা রুটে শুরু হয়েছে দ্রুতগতির যাত্রীবাহী ট্রেন চলাচল। প্রথম দিনে নির্ধারিত সময়ের ৫০ মিনিট দেরিতে কমলাপুর রেলস্টেশনে পৌঁছায় জাহানাবাদ এক্সপ্রেস। রেল ক্রসিংয়ে দেরি হওয়ার কারণেই এ বিলম্ব, বলছে কর্তৃপক্ষ। কমলাপুর রেলস্টেশনে উদ্বোধনী অনুষ্ঠানে রেলপথ উপদেষ্টা মুহাম্মদ ফাওজুল কবির খান বলেন, অপব্যয়ের কারণেই রেলের দুরবস্থা।
