American Literature | Sylvia Plath: life and works

Sylvia Plath (October 27, 1932 – February 11, 1963) was an American poet, novelist, and short-story writer.
Her development of confessional poetry led her to a major role in the American literature.
The unconventional themes, amongst which we can mention the injustices of sex-based roles and of psychiatric care, made her works especially relevant to the society of the 20th century.
