In this episode of Archinest, we take a closer look at a beautifully designed suburban home located in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Created by Architect Hoang Vu, this 70-square-meter house was built to accommodate three generations of a family, blending traditional warmth with modern functionality.

Faced with the challenge of limited space, the architect masterfully designed the house to foster a sense of togetherness while maintaining privacy for each family member. The open-plan living and kitchen area on the first floor serves as the heart of the home, encouraging interaction, while private areas offer comfort and seclusion.

One of the standout features of this house is the wooden louvre system on the facade, which helps reduce the effects of intense southwest sunlight while maximizing natural ventilation and connection with the outdoors. The house also incorporates a ventilation corridor and multiple voids, creating an airy, spacious feel despite its narrow plot.
