A common beginners trap is to download a mesh and try to convert it to a solid in fusion. Editing the result may be very difficult. Many times the best path is to instead reverse engineer it from scratch using the mesh as a reference.
The result will be much cleaner and you will be able to edit the body much easier.

This video is just an example for a specific mesh. For other shapes you probably need to use other tools and techniques. For some shapes Fusion is probably the wrong software. From what I know Blender is better suited in many cases (I have very limited experience from that software).
